Our experiences are designed as small group travel experiences to provide travel enthusiasts an explosion of tastes, culture and hospitality. This small group journey is created for people  who want to travel Africa and don’t know where to start. This experience includes local food and fine dining; on ground experiences that immerse you in local culture that leave you with memories of a lifetime. We are a concierge style travel experience designed based on the travelers personal interests and budget.

What's Included

Itinerary November 25 - December 6, 2023

  • Depart International Airport

Upon arrival our Travel & Invest Africa experience host will VIP service at the airport and usher you to your accommodation where you will experience a catered meal and an informal meet greet while you prepare to settle in and relax for the remainder of the day.  Later, in all locations you will get an evening driving tour with key stops for Instagram Photos! Get ready to make your friends jealous of your travel experience.

Early morning departure from the hotel for a 06:30 walking safari in Pande
Game Reserve which is located within the city outskirts. Expect to see
bushbuck, birds, baboons, butterflies, blue-balled monkeys, and stunning
views from the reserve. After well-deserved healthy breakfast, you will return
to the hotel by 10.00 and transfer by boat to the islands found in city the
Mbudya Island; spend the rest of your day by the island while experiencing
the stunning sights of the clear blue water and the incredible surroundings of
the island. Enjoy your lunch by the beach at 05:30 transfer back to the hotel,
overnight at Ramada Beach Resort, half board.

After breakfast depart for a Dar es Salaam city tour, where you will spend       the day exploring the city on a Half-day city tour, and visit various interesting

                    sites found in the city. From historical and museum sites to local markets,

                    religious sites, and craft markets, university of Dar Es Saalam and other

                    historical buildings.  Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel by

                    16:00 in time for a swim, cocktails on the beach and watch the beyond the

Street children is a rising problem within urban areas which is hardly        addressed. The Dar es Salaam Street children programme aims to reduce the

                   number of these children on the streets through family reunifications, and

                   provide education and skills so that they can reintegrate back into society. 

                   Your visit to this project will give hope to the children and the project.

 

                     Women weaving project and thereafter visit  local school.  Lunch at  local restaurant

                   Dar es Salaam, meaning The Haven of Peace in Arabic, has one of the best

                   deep natural harbor in the world. With a population of over 6,000,000 dwellers

                   representing over 120 tribes of Tanzania with their different cultural

                   backgrounds coming together has grown to be one of the most cosmopolitan

                   cities in East Africa.  A city tour of Dar es Salaam will take you to the National

                   Museum, Nyerere Cultural Centre, the Village Museum, Mwenge Carvings

                   Market, and the Magogoni Fish Market, among other interesting spots.

Take the 09.00  VIP Class for to Zanzibar. Arrival will be at 10.30. Transfer to the hotel and set out for the prison island tour.  Return to the mainland for traditional  

                      Swahili lunch.  

                    

                      The sunset cruise  At 16.30 you will walk to the port for departure of  the sunset

                      cruise This two hours cruise will be along the stone town coastline. Snacks, wine, soft

                     drinks and traditional taarab music will be playing on board. Return at 19.00 and walk

                     to your hotel with your guide. and overnight at Emerson Green Zanzibar, Bed

                      breakfast.

Stone town Tour. The tour will take you to a farm where you will walk around the

01 Dec         herbs and spices plantations, tasting and smelling the various products gathering in-

                     depth information not only about spices, but also their uses in traditional dishes, cures

                     for ailments and even for decorative purposes during weddings.

The richness of its cultural heritage and the lure of the exotic spices make Zanzibar

                      one of the most sought after holiday destinations. The main attraction of Zanzibar is

                      STONE TOWN with its winding alleys; white washed old building, bustling bazaars,

                     mosques, exotic architecture and influences of different cultures

 

 

                     This tour will take you to the House of Wonders (the first house in E. Africa to have an

                     escalator, and electricity), Sultans Palace, Old Dispensary, The former slave market, the

                     local vegetable and fruit market with a variety of mouth-watering tropical seasonal

                     fruits. Exotic spices are cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, turmeric and

                     nutmeg – are as exotic as the flavour. You will also have a chance to see the iodine

                     plant, henna bush, ylang-ylang, lipstick tree, cocoa and coffee trees. The Kidichi Persian

                     Baths was built in 1850 by Seyyid Said bin Sultan for his Persian wife Princess

                     Sheherezade granddaughter of the Shah of Persia, you will also visit the Maruhubi

                    Palace Ruins built by the third Sultan of Zanzibar Seyyid Barghash for his 99

Today of leisure!  You will go on a private catamaran with music, seafood and       drinks. Return to the hotel after sunset. Overnight Neptune Pwani Beach Resort

                  and Spa all- inclusive basis

:          Spices play a very important part in the everyday lives of Zanzibaris. Every part of the        spices is used for different purposes.  Today you will visit a group of women who make

                    beauty products from spices. You will have the opportunity to buy soaps, body scrubs,

                    lotions, and creams. Transfer to the hotel for lunch and spend the rest of the day

                    relaxing on the beach or poolside and overnight Neptune Pwani Beach Resort and

                     Spa all inclusive basis

Half day swimming with the dolphins. Spend the rest of the day at leisure soaking in

      the sun, sipping cocktails or coconut waters, go for  massage.

Travel back to Dar Es Salem and prepare to depart back to the USA.

Travel Information

Passports & Visa

1. In order to travel outside the united states or visit Africa, U.S. Canadian and UK citizens need a valid passport with an expiration date extending at least six months beyond the date of reentry.

2. We recommend having at least one blank passport page for entry visa stamps.

3. If you are not a U.S. or Canadian citizen, you must contact us for specific entry requirements.

4. When you reserve or book a tour with us, our team will make sure you get the best assistance with all this details. We are here for you!

Tour Pace

1. You will walk for at least 30minutes- an hour daily across mostly flat terrain, including cobblestone streets, with few hills or stairs.

2. Travelers should be healthy enough to participate in all included walks without assistance.

3. You should feel comfortable managing your own baggage at times, but our team members are always available to assist with your luggage throughout the experience.

4. Travel & Invest Africa and the Experience Host who accompanies your group are unable to provide special, individual mobility assistance to travelers on tour. The responsibility of the Experience Host and Guide is to ensure the group as a whole enjoys a relaxing and informative journey, and he or she cannot be relied upon to provide ongoing, individualized assistance to any one traveler.

Transportation & Arrival Information

1. Round-trip flights will be privately booked by yourself since we currently do not offer group flights in our packages . Despite not offering group flight bookings, our team members are always available to help with your flight bookings when needed.

2. Upon arrival, a representative from Travel & Invest Africa staff will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Our representative will be holding a sign for easy identification.

3. Transfers to and from the airport to all destinations are included in any trip you book with us.

Clothing & Packing Tips

1. We recommend packing lightweight, loose-fitting clothing that can be easily layered to accommodate varying temperatures.

2. A sturdy pair of walking shoes or sneakers is recommended for sightseeing and tours.

3. One luggage bag and a carry on is recommended. If you bring two or more luggages above 50kg it will attract a loading and unloading fee of $80.00.

Health & Vaccinations

1. There are no major health risks associated with traveling any of our Africa destinations.

2. At least 60 days prior to departure, check with your doctor or healthcare provider for the latest updates and entry requirements, or visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention website at cdc.gov.

3. Please note: Yellow fever certificate is required for most Africa destinations. You can call our team for all the necessary health requirements you will need.

4. If you have medication that you take daily, be sure you have enough for each day of the tour as well as any possible delays encountered.

5. If you have dietary restrictions and/or food allergies please notify Travel & Invest Africa at least 30 days prior to departure via email.

Travel Insurance

1. If you are traveling overseas, or even domestically, taking out Travel insurance is highly recommended by the Travel & Invest Africa Team.

2. If you require medical attention while traveling, you may be liable for the cost of your treatment if you do not have travel insurance.

3. Although this isn’t a requirement before traveling we recommend you purchase a travel insurance for your own safety and coverage.

Electricity & Air-Conditioning

1. We recommend packing a universal adapter, as well as a voltage converter if you plan on using your own hairdryer or other device without a built-in converter.

2. There are air-conditions in all the facilities or hotels we accommodate our travelers with.

3.Your hotel may provide irons, and other small appliances. However, these amenities cannot be guaranteed.

Internet Connectivity

1. Wi-Fi is available in all the hotels we accommodate our travelers with.

2. There is no Wi-Fi on any of our buses.

3. Please contact your mobile service provider for information on roaming charges if needed.

Currency & Money Exchange

1. Better rates of exchange are usually available in that Africa country. You can easily exchange your money to a local currency at the airport upon arrival . Our Experience Host at Travel & Invest Africa will gladly assist you as needed.

2. We strongly advise that you take debit/bank cards and credit cards, which can be used to withdraw cash at local banks as needed. (VISA & MASTERCARDS)

3. You can use most debit/credit cards at ATMs on the international networks, but make sure to check with your home bank about international withdrawal fees and restrictions.

4. Inform your bank and credit card company of your travel plans so that they won’t confuse your international purchases for fraudulent charges.

5. International banks and businesses primarily accept debit and credit cards that work with the EMV chip system. If you do not already have at least one debit or credit card with a chip in it, we strongly recommend requesting one from your bank prior to your tour.
